Kickoff Buddy Skate (Nov 1, 12:30–2:00 PM)
Bring a friend to share the ice and the fun. It’s a great way for new skaters to try it out and for returning skaters to show off their progress.

BUILD YOUR FOUNDATION ON THE ICE
Whether it’s your first time on skates or you’re ready to build on existing
skills, Learn to Skate at ION provides a clear path forward. Using the nationally recognized Learn to Skate USA curriculum, skaters develop confidence, balance, control, and foundational skills in a supportive environment.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

6-WEEK SESSIONS
Weekly group classes with 30–45 minutes of instruction.

EXPERIENCED COACHES
Learn to Skate USA registered, background-checked,
and SafeSport compliant coaches

PROGRESS YOU CAN FOLLOW
Skills are evaluated throughout the session, helping skaters understand their progress and when they’re ready to advance.

A PATH FORWARD
Each level builds on the one before it, creating a foundation for recreational skating, figure skating, or hockey.

BEFORE YOU HIT THE ICE:

WHAT TO EXPECT
Learn to Skate registration includes
professional instruction following
the Learn to Skate USA curriculum, ongoing
skill assessments, advancement recommendations, and an end-of-session progress update. Rental skates
are available on site.

BEFORE YOUR FIRST CLASS
For your first class, plan to arrive early
to allow plenty of time for check-in,
skate rental, and getting ready. Comfortable layers, gloves, and a helmet are recommended, especially for beginners. Not sure which level is right for you?
